State Department of Transportation to Host Online Public Meeting on Major Culvert Project in Central New York
December 4 Meeting to Highlight Culvert Replacements or Rehabilitations Planned in Cayuga, Onondaga, Cortland, Oswego, Seneca and Tompkins Counties
The New York State Department of Transportation today announced an online public meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 4, at 5:30 p.m. to outline plans to replace or rehabilitate 16 large culverts in Cayuga, Onondaga, Cortland, Oswego, Seneca and Tompkins Counties. The project is intended to enhance safety and resiliency of highway stream crossings and is currently in the preliminary design stage. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027 and be completed in 2028.

Project Documents
The meeting will feature a presentation about the project followed by a public comment session. The Project Manager, DOT engineers and consultants will be available to take comments and answer questions. Written comments and questions can also be submitted to DOT by December 18.
